Step 1. Preheat the oven to to 400°F.
Step 2. Sprinkle the salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
Step 3. Over the stovetop, heat up an oven-proof skillet with oil over median heat. Place salmon fillets skin side up on to the skillet. Allow them to sear for 2 minutes.
Step 4. Flip over the fillets and sear for another 2 minutes.
Step 5. Flip over the fillets again. Brush the fillets with teriyaki sauce. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes.
Step 6. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve.
