1 cup farro
3 cups water
1 cup dried large lima beans, soaked for 1 hour, drained before use
6 tablespoons ground flaxseeds
2 tablespoons chia seeds
2 teaspoons ground turmeric
2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
Step 1. In a 2-qt pot or a saucepan, combine the water and farro. Bring the pot to a boil over medium heat. Lower the heat and allow it to simmer for 30 minutes covered or until the farro is tender.
Step 2. In a 2-qt pot or a saucepan, combine the water and dried large lima beans. Bring the pot to a boil over medium heat. Lower the heat and allow it to simmer for 80 minutes covered or until the dried large lima beans are tender.
Step 3. In a mixing bowl, combine everything. Store each individual serving in a mason jar in the refrigerator.
