Ingredients
2 oranges, juiced, save two strips of orange peel for later
1/2 cup water
1/2 sugar
2 cups fresh cranberries
4 whole cloves
1 dash salt
2 orange peels
1 tablespoon rum

Preparation
In a sauce pan, bring the orange juice, water and sugar to a boil over high heat. Add the cranberries, orange peel, cloves, and salt and return to a boil. Lower the heat and allow it to simmer for 10 to 12 minutes, until most of cranberries have burst open. Mash with a spoon. Turn off the heat and stir in the rum.
Transfer sauce to a serving bowl. Cover and chill before serving.
